Terms of Service

Last updated 16 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Home Tax Pro LLC, a Texas limited liability company, covering your use of HomeTaxPro. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

What HomeTaxPro does

We take your property address, pull the county appraisal district’s record for it, find comparable properties and recent sales, and produce evidence you can submit when you protest your assessed value. Depending on the package you choose, we select the comparables for you and draft a written argument to go with them.

What HomeTaxPro is not

We are not lawyers, tax agents or appraisers

Nothing on this site is legal advice, tax advice, or a professional appraisal. We are not your attorney, we are not a licensed property tax consultant acting as your agent, and we do not represent you before an appraisal review board. If you want someone to argue your case for you, hire a licensed consultant or attorney.

We do not guarantee a reduction

We cannot and do not promise that your assessed value will be lowered, or that you will save money. The decision belongs entirely to your appraisal district and its review board. A strong evidence package improves your position. It does not determine the outcome. Any figure we show you is an estimate of potential savings based on public data, not a prediction and not a commitment.

You file the protest, not us

We give you the documents. Filing them is yours to do, and so is the deadline. In Texas that is generally 15 May, or 30 days after your appraisal notice is delivered, whichever is later. Deadlines vary by state and can change. Check the date on your own notice. We are not responsible for a missed deadline, including one caused by the site being slow, unavailable, or used too close to the cut-off.

Accuracy of the data

Assessed values, ownership, square footage and sale prices come from county appraisal districts and other public sources. That data contains errors, gaps and lag, and we pass it through as we receive it. Read your report before you file it. If something about your own property is wrong in the county record, only the appraisal district can correct it.

Parts of our analysis are generated by AI. It can be wrong. Treat the draft argument as a starting point you review, not a finished filing you submit unread.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us accurate information, including a property address you actually own or are authorised to act for.

One account covers one household. Do not share access or resell reports.

Payment

Packages are billed once per year, per property:

  • Do It Yourself, $49 per year
  • Selected Comparables, $99 per year
  • AI Analysis, $109 per year

Additional properties are $50 each, charged once at the time you add them.

Subscriptions renew automatically each year at the price then in effect, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard or the billing portal. Cancelling stops the next renewal. It does not refund the current year, and you keep access until the period you paid for ends.

If we change prices, the change applies from your next renewal and we will tell you before it takes effect.

Refunds

If the service fails to produce a usable report for your property, email us within 30 days of purchase and we will refund you. We do not refund on the basis that a protest was unsuccessful, because the outcome is not ours to control.

Acceptable use

Do not:

  • scrape, bulk-download or resell our data or reports
  • use the service for properties you have no connection to
  • attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the system
  • present our output as the work of a licensed professional

We can suspend or close accounts that do these things.

Our content

The site, its software and the format of our reports are ours. The report we generate for your property is yours to use for your own protest, including submitting it to your appraisal district. Underlying public records belong to nobody in particular and we claim no rights over them.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not promise uninterrupted access. We may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the service entirely while you have paid time remaining, we will refund the unused portion.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Home Tax Pro LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost tax savings, missed deadlines, or penalties. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

The service is provided as is, without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, and disputes go to the courts of Texas.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when. If a change materially affects your rights we will email you before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.
